Researcher Visa (Transferee)

The applicant must have a master’s degree or at least 3 years’ experiences in a field related to that in which he/she intends to engage, or at least 10 years’ experiences in such a field of research. 

However, this shall not apply cases in which the applicant is to engage in research in a business office in Japan to which he/she has been transferred for a limited period of time from a business office established in a foreign country and when the said applicant has been engaging in the research activities at the office outside of Japan for at least 1 year immediately prior to his/her transfer to Japan.
